Post-Doctoral Fellow, IIT Madras
Dr. Renu S is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, working under Prof. Indumathi M. Nambi in the Environmental Engineering Division. Her research focuses on applying AI, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision to sustainable environmental solutions, particularly in waste management and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
She is the Co-Founder of DiMe Innovations Pvt. Ltd., an AI-driven startup developing intelligent technology products that solve real-world challenges across industries.
With over 10 years of academic and research experience, Dr. Renu previously worked at International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (Government of Kerala), where she contributed to language computing and accessibility initiatives, notably leading the development of a Text-to-Indian Sign Language Translation System. She also served as Assistant Professor at Cochin College of Engineering and Technology, mentoring students in AI and software engineering.
She holds a Ph.D. in Data Storage Security, along with dual Master’s degrees in Computer Science from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and in Software Engineering from Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education.

Kailas E K is a Senior AI Research Engineer with 6+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science. His expertise spans Intelligent Tutoring Systems, question-answering models, computer vision, multimodal learning analytics, and end-to-end AI product development.
Alongside his research work, he brings a strong entrepreneurial mindset, having led product development initiatives and technology teams in innovation-driven environments. He is also deeply involved in the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) ecosystem, contributing to community building, mentoring, and promoting open technology adoption in education and industry.
He has contributed to research and innovation initiatives with organizations such as IIT Bombay, the International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS), Intel (through innovation programs), and Atal Innovation Mission (NITI AAYOG).
